At CMC Asset Management, we are a friendly, experienced, and compassionate property management and rental company based in the River Valley of Fort Smith, Arkansas. We have properties located throughout Arkansas and Oklahoma, and we have a tremendous amount of local knowledge we can use to help you.
Even though we do have some commercial properties available, most of our properties are residential. We have expanded our portfolio of properties across the local area to make sure we have plenty of options available for you.
We work hard to make sure all of our properties have been appropriately maintained. This is important for making sure you have a safe, working, and comfortable environment in which to live. We also have a reliable customer service team that is responsive whenever you have questions or concerns.

CLIFF CABANESS II
Founder/CEO
Clifton D. Cabaness II—better known as Cliff—is the Founder and CEO of cMc Asset Management. He previously co-founded Trinity Property Management, LLC in 1999, serving as its Chief Executive Officer and President. Across more than 31 years in real estate, Cliff has built deep experience in the ownership and management of single-family homes, multifamily communities, land development, and major rehabilitation projects.
Over the last three decades, he has overseen 653 corporate employees and 20,000 apartment homes with a combined value exceeding $375 million. His background spans design-build projects, value-add strategies, and large-scale asset repositioning. Trinity Multifamily ultimately managed more than 17,000 units across 13 states. Today, through cMc Asset Management, he provides direct oversight of his current portfolio.
Cliff further strengthens his industry expertise as a licensed Real Estate Inspector, Commercial Real Estate Agent, and active member of the National Association of Realtors. Before launching Trinity, he served from 1995–2000 as Chief Operating Officer and Partner for a group of 13 multi-state quick-service restaurants, where he evaluated and designed locations, negotiated leases, supervised construction, and led all hiring and training. In that role, he supervised 250 team members, including a full back-office support staff.
Earlier in his career, Cliff worked as a Hospital Administrator for a multibed facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His professional foundation began with seven years of service in the Army National Guard as a Combat Engineer (1987–1994). He holds a B.A. from Arkansas State University and an M.A. from Trinity Theological Seminary.
A committed leader in his community and in his faith, Cliff serves on the Board of Directors for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is a Board Trustee for Williams Baptist College, and is Board Chairman for Manes and Miracles in Fort Smith. He is also the School Board Vice Chairman at Union Christian Academy. At Harvest Time Church in Fort Smith, he is an ordained deacon, former Chairman of the Missions Committee, and an active member of multiple leadership teams.
Cliff and his wife, Chey, are the proud parents of four children: Claire, Annabeth, Noah, and Richlyn.
MATHEW WESTER

MATHEW WESTER
Mathew R. “Matt” Wester joined cMc Asset Management in 2019 as Director of Accounting and Operations and was later promoted to Vice President of Administration. With more than 25 years of combined experience in accounting and management, Matt plays a central role in overseeing the company’s financial, administrative, and operational functions. His leadership has helped strengthen internal systems, streamline reporting processes, and support the company’s continued expansion across multiple markets.
Before joining cMc, Matt spent more than 18 years with Rheem Manufacturing in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He began his career there as an accounting analyst and advanced into management, ultimately overseeing more than 400 customer accounts across several regions. In that role, he developed deep expertise in financial analysis, client service, and multi-department coordination. Colleagues respected him for his calm, steady leadership style and his ability to troubleshoot complex challenges without losing sight of long-term goals.
Alongside his corporate career, Matt and his wife, Jeannie, managed multifamily property maintenance and landscaping operations for Phillips Development, based in Little Rock, experience that gave him firsthand insight into property operations, vendor relations, and tenant-focused service.
A proud veteran, Matt served in the Army National Guard from 2005 to 2013, including a deployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2006–2007. His years of military service reinforced the values of discipline, accountability, and teamwork, qualities that continue to shape his approach to business and leadership.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from John Brown University in 2012 and has steadily built a career grounded in integrity, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to the people he leads.
Matt and Jeannie have been married since 1998 and are the proud parents of two children, Abby and Seth. The Wester family is actively involved at New Life Van Buren (NLVB), where both Matt and Jeannie serve on leadership committees and volunteer in several ministries. Their faith and commitment to community remain at the heart of their family life, guiding how they lead, serve, and invest in others.

SHARON GUZMAN
REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Sharon Guzman joined cMc Asset Management in January 2022 as a Community Director and quickly distinguished herself through her leadership, work ethic, and operational insight. Sharon’s strong performance in leasing, on-site management, and customer service led to her promotion to Regional Director, where she now oversees multiple communities and provides hands-on guidance to property teams. In her current role, she supports day-to-day operations, mentors new managers, and helps implement companywide initiatives that strengthen resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Sharon brings more than a decade of multifamily housing experience to cMc, having served as both a Community Director and Assistant Regional Director before joining the company. Throughout her career, she has earned a reputation for building strong, motivated teams and creating resident-focused environments. Her expertise includes property oversight, financial performance, budget management, marketing strategy, vendor coordination, and solving complex operational and maintenance challenges.
Sharon is known for approaching each community with a balance of professionalism, care, and practical decision-making, qualities that have made her a trusted leader within cMc Asset Management.
Before entering the multifamily industry, Sharon spent 19 years in restaurant management, where she honed her leadership style and developed a deep understanding of customer service, staff development, and day-to-day business operations. This foundation equipped her with the communication, organizational, and problemsolving skills that continue to define her work in property management today.
A lifelong Fort Smith resident, Sharon has proudly called the area home for more than 30 years. She values the strong sense of community the region offers and enjoys contributing to its growth through her work in the housing industry. Outside the office, Sharon enjoys playing tennis, watching her daughters and grandson compete in local sports, and spending time with family. She also loves shopping, exploring new places in the River Valley, and supporting local businesses.

Lisa Polumbus
Community Director
Lisa Polumbus became a member of the cMc Asset Management team in June 2022 and was hired as a Community Director for the Oklahoma City portfolio. With over 20 years of experience in the multifamily industry, Lisa has a proven record of leasing, customer service and great knowledge in the industry. She has managed single family, multifamily and low-income family units. She has an ideal foundation for maintaining and building strong community relations with tenants, staff, and vendors.
As a native of Muskogee, Lisa raised her 3 daughters in her hometown. She also enjoys spending time with her 9 grandchildren. Lisa has lived in the Oklahoma City area for the past 3 years.
